About

Hi, I’m Jenna — a Los Angeles-based traveler, museum wanderer, neighborhood explorer, and the woman behind A Girl Named Gin.

The name started long before the blog. “Gin” has been a nickname my dad has jokingly called me for years (for context, I have a sister named Bailey and we had a chocolate lab named Kahlua). Somewhere along the way it became fitting for another reason too: a good gin cocktail is usually on my agenda while traveling – locally and abroad!

This blog is a collection of places, experiences, and observations from my travels. I’m drawn to places with character and history. I love having a cocktail in a bar that’s survived the test of time, visiting historic buildings and local bookshops.

I believe places are best when they’re explored slowly: getting turned around on side streets, finding restaurants that feel special, and discovering the heart of a place beyond a checklist.

Here, you’ll find a mix of travel guides, personal reflections, favorite finds, solo travel experiences, and practical tips gathered along the way.

Right now, you’ll mostly find me documenting my travels through Spain with some local posts mixed in — but the goal of A Girl Named Gin is to create a thoughtful space dedicated to places worth remembering.

Thanks for being here.
